Signal & Score
Objective: Work as a team to move the ball through a changing-direction course, react quickly to a signal, and finish with a controlled pass or shot. Everyone keeps moving, communicating and taking turns.
⏱ The 10-minute plan
📍 Court layout & equipment
Equipment: 1 basketball per team, 3–4 cones, a hoop (or marked target), and a whistle or clear voice signal. Use half-court space.
â–¶ How to play
Players coordinate hand control with footwork while weaving and keeping their eyes up. Sudden calls make them process information, stop, switch direction or change speed, improving balance and agility. Passing and shooting add timing, accuracy and communication under movement.
Check the floor and spacing first; keep a clear gap between teams. No contact, reaching across another player or sprinting through the waiting line. Stop on “freeze,” and retrieve loose balls only when the lane is clear. Use close passes and a lower hoop/target if needed. Everyone rotates through every role; offer a walking pace or stationary dribble option.
Try a mini round
Choose what you would do when the coach calls each signal. This is a quick rule demo—the real activity is played offline with a ball, teammates and cones.
